Coming back to yesterday’s discussion:

Carthusian doubt is just a method of thinking and understanding (or attempting to understand) the environment and ourselves within the said environment. Descartes sets mathematics as the natural limit of doubt (not the senses or any other “universal truths” – they can deceive us or lead to wrong conclusions.
